Each year the Third Graders from Blue Ridge Elementary School walk to Rice-Tremonti for a lesson in local history.
Come out and enjoy the end of summer with a lawn party - a birthday party for Rice-Tremonti at 175 years.
We're planning an afternoon of live music, crafts for sale, ice cream and birthday cake.
It all happens 1-5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 15 at the house, 8801 E. 66th St. in Raytown.
We are dedicated to the preservation and ongoing restoration of this 1844 farmhouse, which was a landmark on the Santa Fe, Oregon and California Trails. Our all-volunteer group meets monthly at the house and coordinates public and private activities.
We support the house through a series of fund-raising events over the year, through our modest membership dues, grants and gifts.
You can become a Friend of Rice-Tremonti for just $15 annual dues for an individual and $25 for families. All funds collected go directly to home support, there are no salaries to pay.
Send your dues today to Membership, Friends of the Rice-Tremonti Home, P.O. Box 9393, Raytown, MO 64133.
